    The Story of  Sharp Society

    This story of pure entrepreneurship begins in 2016, when I, Silvana PANA, observed and understood the quintessential role that the right suit plays in the wardrobe of a woman, a staple piece she can rely on for business meetings, job interviews, boardroom presentations, bank visits and basically any formal setting. For a woman to feel confident in such a suit, it needed to be redesigned and shaped to compliment her body.

    Everyone told me that a suit is the most complex garment of fashion, and even more complicated if it’s a suit for women. They told me that I have little chance of success. I smiled and continued to learn from true masters in this industry. I sketched, researched, found solutions for every obstacle encountered, and believe me, they were and still are many.

    The moment of revelation came after I understood what a high-quality suit is, from the fabrics used, to the inside structure, to the final touch. It intrigued me to see cheap / low-quality fabrics used for mass-market suits and let’s not talk about the price of a high-quality suit by renowned brands. Even now I am asked by suppliers why do I want the natural canvas or the pricier alternative for thread because people don’t care. They are wrong, women do notice, the body does notice!
     
    I put all the efforts to deliver a superior suit at a fair price, a price that any career or business woman can afford for a suit that will elevate her office wardrobe.

    Nature gave us everything we need and we are firm believers that your body deserves to be respected and cared for. We do our best efforts to use natural materials, soft on the skin, but also friendly with the environment.

    Main fabric: 100% fine Italian wool. A suit can be made of different fabrics, but wool is still the finest material for suits. Wearing a wool suit is guaranteed to create a professional, luxurious feeling.

    We chose a 270 weight wool fabric which is the perfect weight for all-year round wear. As it is a natural fiber, it preserves the temperature of the body, keeping warm during the cold season and letting the skin breath during the hot season.
     
    Wool fabric feels lightweight and soft on the skin, but it is also extremely durable – the true essence of a sustainable purchase lies in the years you are going to enjoy it and wool makes for a long-lasting option in a suit.
     
    What does it mean natural stretch? We all know that women clothes need to be a bit flexible, but we did not want to compromise on quality.
     
    Natural Stretch Wool is wool woven (the wool fibers are combined) to provide stretch without blending wool with other materials like elastane.
     
    When we say 100% wool, we really mean it!
     
    Certified quality? Please explain. Because we envisioned a business suit that will get better with time, we made all the efforts to work with one of the best fabric suppliers in Italy.
     
    Vitale Barberis Canonico has been an authority in fine fabrics since 1663. 
     
    Their SuperSonic fabric collection is ideal for the impeccable lady at any latitude – resilient, high-twist wool yarns for incomparable crease resistance, comfort and breathability.
    It is the ideal fabric for an elevated look and comfort while working or travelling.
     
    How we make sure that the suit will be the right fit for you? It took us almost 2 years to develop a smart-fit system. The size-chart we use is based on a study made on women above 30 years old by the European Institute of Statistics.
     
    We then adjusted it after numerous fittings on women with different body-shapes and measurements. 
     
    What is our impact? While working to create the Sharp Society suit, my life was also centered around my career in the environment industry.
     
    Fashion production and waste represent one of the most pollutant factors. Naturally, this awareness led to the desire to be a responsible brand which does not bow to the fashion industry unsustainable practices.
     
    Through the efforts of our main supplier to ensure a minimum impact we can mention the release of water used in production back into nature completely purified, the use of energy from certified renewable sources and the implementation of best practises in terms of animal welfare.
     
    We work with small stocks to reduce errors leading to waste during production. Extending the life of a garment reduces its environmental impact. This is one of our strongest points since this suit is made to get you through the years. 
     
    In terms of social responsibility, we produce the suits at a small EU manufacturer with decades of experience in the suit production which offers a fair, safe and pleasant work environment for all the talented employees.
